In the classroom:

We used the Picture Word Inductive Model (PWIM) to learn about coyotes (or sk’elep in Secwepemctsin).
This photo shows students exploring coding using BlueBots!
The students created these colourful works of art while exploring the elements of line and shape.
Our theme for the month of February was kindness. The students were challenged to watch for moments of kindness and to add them to the chain. We saw how small acts of kindness can make a big difference!
To continue with the theme of kindness, students were asked to consider what it means to “be a rainbow in someone else storm” and to think of ways to be kind.
This is a photo that I took while I was substitute teaching in a kindergarten classroom. This is a photo of the artwork that they created that day. I was so inspired by their creativity!

More about me:

This is a photo of me after I completed my Bachelor of Arts at the University of Northern British Columbia. I graduated with a major in english and a minor in First Nations studies.
This is a photo form a contemporary dance piece that I choreographed. Dance was my first introduction to teaching and remains a huge part of my life.
This video was taken at Cottonwood Island Nature Park in Prince George, BC. It was included as part of a place based learning assignment. This assignment gave me the opportunity to learn more about the Lheidli T’enneh and their history on this land.
This photo was taken on a hike through Fort George Canyon Provincial Park. Being outdoors and having experiential learning opportunities are both extremely important to me.
